Mark Trigg Joins Greenberg Traurig LLP’s Litigation Department in Atlanta

ATLANTA, GA -- May 14, 2002 -- Greenberg Traurig LLP announced today that Mark G. Trigg joined the firm’s Atlanta office as a shareholder in the litigation practice. Most recently, he practiced with Meadows, Ichter & Trigg, P.C., the firm he co-founded in 1992.

Trigg has represented clients in a broad range of matters, including corporate and partnership disputes, class action litigation, defamation and media claims, and the defense of catastrophic personal injury claims. He has obtained substantial verdicts or settlements in lawsuits involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, and copyright infringement.

“We are very pleased Mark is joining our firm,” said David Minkin, co-managing shareholder of Greenberg Traurig LLP’s Atlanta office. “He brings a unique background and set of experiences that will be a welcome addition to our national litigation practice.”

Trigg has also served as Special Counsel to the City of Atlanta Ethics Board and has advised and participated in the drafting of proposed amendments to the Georgia Ethics in Government Act. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, and was appointed by the Bar to serve on the Children and the Courts Committee for 2002.

Trigg earned a juris doctorate degree from Emory University School of Law, where he was enrolled in the joint law and divinity graduate program. He is a Millsaps College graduate with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy. Trigg was the 2001 recipient of the Fulton County Juvenile Court’s “Outstanding Volunteer” award and was recognized by Georgia Trend magazine as a “Rising Star in Georgia Business” in 1999. Trigg was recently named a member of Leadership Atlanta’s Class of 2003, and he serves as secretary of the Federal Defender Program’s board of directors, a position appointed by the judges of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
