"Troy Eid brings to Greenberg Traurig his unparalleled experience and integrity in the public affairs arena, both nationally and throughout the Western states. We are thrilled to have him join our firm," said Dave Palmer, managing shareholder of the office.

Eid’s practice concentrates on public law and government affairs. Once at Greenberg Traurig LLP, he will continue his work on the civil service reform effort that may end up on the state’s 2004 ballot.

Prior to joining the firm, Eid was the executive director for the Department of Personnel and Administration for the State of Colorado where he was responsible for 70,000 employees – the largest workforce in Colorado – and $8 billion in real estate, including the Colorado State Capitol. Prior to this, Eid served as chief counsel to Governor Owens where he was a member of the Columbine High School Review Commission and was appointed to the prosecution task force that reviewed the handling of the JonBenet Ramsey murder investigation. Before working with the governor, Eid spent five years as the executive director and chief operating officer for InfoTEST International, Inc. in Denver, a large non-profit Internet applications research and development consortium.

Eid received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University in 1986. He received his law degree from The University of Chicago Law School in 1991 where he was the associate managing editor of The University of Chicago Law Review.
