A. Katz With Spirit of Music Award on February 11
NEW YORK, NY -- January 1, 2003 -- Hundreds are expected to attend the
annual UJA-Federation of New York’s Spirit of Music Award event on Tuesday,
February 11, at 7:30 p.m. as Atlanta entertainment lawyer
Joel A. Katz is honored at The
Regent Wall Street Hotel, 55 Wall Street, New York City. A cocktail hour
will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Katz, co-managing shareholder of the Atlanta office of Greenberg Traurig
LLP and chair of the firm’s national entertainment practice, is considered
to be a definitive leader in the field of entertainment law. His impressive
client roster includes some of the world’s most well-known entertainers,
music producers, record companies, concert promoters and Fortune
500 companies.
Thirty years ago, he founded Katz, Smith & Cohen, which became one of
the country’s leading music entertainment law firms, and merged his practice
with Greenberg Traurig in 1998. Katz’ first client was James Brown, introduced

The annual dinner is for UJA-Federation of New York and Music for Youth
Foundation, which supports programs and creates scholarships that make quality
music education available and affordable for young people.

on bottom, very chic on top. Tickets begin at $750.
