Jacqueline Becerra to focus on commercial and civil litigation matters
MIAMI, FL -- April 21, 2004 -- Former Special Counsel to the United States
Attorney for the Southern District of Florida
Jacqueline Becerra has
joined the Litigation Practice Group at the law firm of Greenberg Traurig
LLP.

trial experience with the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C.
and Florida in a wide range of cases,” said

Becerra served as a trial attorney in the Civil Division and as an Assistant
United States Attorney in both the District of Columbia and the Southern
District of Florida. As a trial attorney with Department of Justice’s Civil
Division in Washington, D.C., Becerra handled complex civil matters including
class action defense, constitutional claims, Title VII, Freedom of Information
Act litigation and Right to Financial Privacy cases.
“It’s also important to note that as an Assistant United States Attorney,
Jacqueline was responsible for all aspects of federal prosecution including
the oversight of undercover operations and confidential informants, and
obtaining authorization for wire interceptions. Her experience provides
additional depth and scope to our practice,” said

Becerra received a J.D. from Yale University Law School and holds a Bachelor
of Arts from the University of Miami.
