Greenberg Traurig Strengthens Government Contracts Practice with the Addition of Two New Shareholders

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- February 17, 2004 -- The international law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP announced today that Dick Moorhouse and John Stafford, Jr. have joined the Government Contracts practice as shareholders in the firm’s Tysons Corner, VA office.

Dick Moorhouse is a senior practitioner with extensive experience in all areas of government contract law, including protest litigation before the U.S. Court of Federal Claims and the U.S. General Accounting Office, where he also previously served as senior procurement law attorney-advisor. Most recently, Mr. Moorhouse was a partner with Reed Smith where he lead that firm’s government contracts practice.

John Stafford brings his practice to the DC area from Dallas, TX with more than 20 years of experience focused on all aspects of public and commercial contracts, and related business issues, dispute resolution, and litigation. He is also a member of the national Advisory Board for “The Government Contractor,” published by the West Group. According to Shaheen, “We were elated to have John join the practice. His depth and breadth of knowledge in all areas of government contracts has earned him a reputation as one of the top lawyers in the field.” Prior to joining Greenberg Traurig, Mr. Stafford was a partner with Haynes and Boone, LLP in Dallas.
