Trust and Estates Practice at Greenberg Traurig Attracts Experienced Attorney

COSTA MESA, CA -- November 21, 2005 -- Scott A. Harshman has joined the Orange County office of Greenberg Traurig LLP as Of Counsel in the Trusts and Estates practice group. A Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization, Harshman’s extensive knowledge and experience makes him a strong addition to the firm’s established Trusts and Estates practice.

With over seven years of experience in trusts and estates matters for high net-worth individuals, Harshman’s experience spans wealth transfer planning, business succession planning, philanthropic planning, and asset protection planning. In addition, he also has experience in estate and gift tax controversy, probate and trust administration, pension benefit planning, and the formation of business entities and nonprofit corporations.

Harshman was formerly a Partner in the Trusts and Estates practice at The Busch Firm, located in Orange County, Calif., where he was engaged in a number of trusts and estates matters.

Harshman received his J.D. from Whittier Law School where he was an active member of the Whittier Law Review and member of the Whittier Law School Moot Court Honors Board. Broadening his knowledge and proficiency, Harshman also obtained an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of San Diego School of Law. He holds an undergraduate degree from the University of California, Riverside.
