Greenberg Traurig Adds Energy Attorney from Morrison & Foerster

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- February 28, 2005 -- Greenberg Traurig LLP announced today that it has added Kenneth M. Minesinger, from Morrison & Foerster LLP, as a shareholder in its Washington, D.C. office. Minesinger will join Greenberg Traurig’s energy practice group, furthering the growth of the Washington, D.C. office, which has recently seen the addition of four new shareholders and a Director of Federal Marketing.

“We are just delighted that Ken has chosen to bring his impressive credentials and energy practice to Greenberg Traurig,” said Joe Reeder, Managing Shareholder of the Mid-Atlantic region. “No one understands the energy landscape better than Ken. His experience practicing before the FERC will be a great benefit to our existing energy practice. He also is a consummate team player, and we are very fortunate indeed to have him on our team.”

Minesinger focuses his practice on energy regulatory proceedings before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and on energy-related antitrust and litigation matters. His diverse energy background includes the representation of energy clients in complex ratemaking, restructuring, licensing and merger proceedings, as well as litigation and investigations concerning alleged market manipulation.

Minesinger is currently counseling large energy companies, including El Paso Corporation, El Paso Natural Gas Company, Colorado Interstate Gas Company, and other clients, on numerous FERC regulatory and litigation matters. His representations include rate case litigation, marketing affiliate and market behavior code of conduct compliance, FERC certificate proceedings, appellate litigation defending FERC orders that successfully resolved significant litigation for his clients, antitrust compliance and merger/acquisition matters, and antitrust litigation defending against charges of abuse of monopoly power.

Minesinger’s arrival also adds to the firm’s expanding and diversified energy law and policy practice in Washington, D.C. and nationwide. The firm represents virtually all types of participants in today's rapidly changing energy markets, including utilities, pipelines, energy marketers, end users, energy project developers, investors and lenders. Greenberg Traurig represents these clients in a broad spectrum of energy regulatory and litigation matters as well all corporate aspects of energy-related transactions.
