INS Fee Increases to Go Into Effect in February

The INS has announced that the final rule regarding the INS fee increases is supposed to be published some time this week. As such, the new fees will not go into effect on January 12, 2002 as originally proposed. Instead, the new fees will go into effect 60 days after the publishing of the rule, sometime in mid-February 2002. The final fee increases are to mirror those set out in the August 2001 proposed rule. Click below to view the fee increases as proposed in August:
