US Embassy in Yemen Suspends Visa Services

On Monday January 14, 2002, the US Embassy in Yemen suspended its visa services after having received a specific threat against the embassy. The Embassy declined to comment on the details of the threat, but noted that US citizens traveling to Yemen should be alert and aware of their surroundings.
