U.S. Embassies and Consulates Reopened

According to the State Department’s Consular Affairs spokesperson, U.S. Embassies and Consulates worldwide are generally open and operating again after numerous locations closed their doors temporarily due to the military action in Iraq. However, some locations may only be offering reduced services so individuals who are planning on making visa applications abroad are encouraged to check with the Embassy or Consulate ahead of time.
