Applying for a Visa Abroad? Be Prepared for an Interview…

The Department of State has significantly limited the ability of consular officers to waive the interview requirement for nonimmigrant visa applicants. Starting August 1, 2003, many visa applicants who have previously been able to make their visa applications at U.S. Consulates abroad without an interview will find themselves subject to personal interviews. GT has noticed an increased level of interviews already as well as increased processing times.
