Discontinuation of Visa Revalidation

The U.S. Department of State announced at last week's AILA annual conference that visa revalidation will be discontinued as of July 6, 2004. Visa revalidation cases currently in the pipeline will continue to be processed. The Department of State may continue the visa revalidation program in the future after their systems have been updated to collect biometric data from visa revalidation applicants (for example, digital fingerprints, photographs and signatures).

Greenberg Traurig will provide updated information on this issue as it arises.
