PERM Program Delayed Again

The Department of Labor (DOL) announced last week at the American Immigration Lawyers Association conference, that there is yet another delay in the implementation of the PERM program. We expected that this program, which would reduce the processing times of labor certification applications from several years to several months, would be introduced by this month and would take affect approximately 120 days after publication. At this time, DOL is expecting that PERM will be published in final form in August and implementation will not happen until some time at the end of this year.
