Warning for Holiday Travelers
It is important to remember that the holidays can be a stressful time
for your international employees when they travel abroad. The Department
of Homeland Security, Transportation Security Administration has
released helpful tips on making the transition though security
checkpoints at airports more favorable to passengers who are subject to
security checks. We advise that travel plans be reviewed with
Immigration Counsel prior to the employee leaving the U.S. to ensure
that they possess the proper documents including visas and petition
approvals. In many cases visas need to be applied for at U.S. consulates
abroad. Such visa interviews processing times become lengthy during the
holidays and companies should plan accordingly. Please refer to the
attached Press Release.
