Reminder: Passport Requirement for Air Travel Begins January 23

As posted previously (http://www.gtlaw.com/practices/immigration/news/2006/12/1a.htm), beginning next week, January 23, 2007, citizens of the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Bermuda must have a passport to enter the United States when arriving by air from any part of the Western Hemisphere. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and U.S. Department of State plan to implement new travel initiatives in 2008 for land and sea travel.
