Farm Managers Indicted on Federal Charges in Hawaii

Two managers working for the agricultural conglomerate The Farm Inc. were arrested in Waipahu, Hawaii and have been indicted on multiple federal felony charges including employment eligibility fraud, aiding and abetting visa fraud and abetting the misrepresentation of a Social Security number in an alleged criminal scheme to employ illegal workers at the company’s farms in Ewa, Hawaii. According to ICE, the charges stem from a July 2008 ICE investigation involving the arrest of 43 undocumented Mexican nationals at an apartment complex in Waipahu where they allegedly lived and worked illegally per the arrangement of the defendants.
