According to the press release, $3.5 billion will go to the DHS and the General Services Administration (GSA) in support of DHS programs.

Some of the DHS-projects that will receive stimulus funding include:

  • $720 million to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) for renovation and construction of land port entries
  • $100 million to the CBP for Non-Intrusive Inspection (NII) technology
  • $100 million to the CBP for border technology on the Southwestern U.S. border
