Prepare for Summer Travel

Summer is here- let the vacations begin! But first, be sure that your travel documents are up-to-date. If your passport will expire within the next six months, renew early to allow for ample processing time.

Beginning June 1, 2009, U.S. citizens entering the United States at sea or land ports will need a passport, passport card, or other travel document approved by the Department of Homeland Security when entering the U.S. from a region within the Western Hemisphere (Canada, Mexico, Bermuda or the Caribbean region). The new requirements are part of the land and sea phase of the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative.
