FY2010 H-1B Cap Reached

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced today that as of December 21, 2009, it had received sufficient petitions to reach the statutory H-1B cap for 2010. USCIS announced that it will apply a computer-generated random selection process to all cap-subject petitions that were received on December 21, 2009 and it will reject cap-subject petitions received after December 21, 2009. USCIS had previously announced that it had approved sufficient H-1B petitions for beneficiaries with advanced degrees to meet the 20,000 exemption.
