USCIS Announces Change to Organizational Structure
U.S. Citizenship and
Immigration Services (USCIS
or Service) announced earlier this
week that it has realigned its organizational structure
to promote efficiency and more accurately promote the
Service's mission. Alejandro N. Mayorkas, Director of
USCIS, stated that the most significant changes involve
the movement of the Service's Fraud Detection and
National Security department into its own Directorate,
the creation of a Customer Service Directorate, and the
division of the existing Domestic Operations Directorate
into two separate Directorates covering service center
operations and field operations, respectively.
