E-Verify Data about Certain Federal Contractors to Be Posted on the Internet

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced that it intends to make information about Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) contractors available to the public. On its E-Verify home page, DHS noted that a business' name, address, workforce size, employee verification (all new hires or entire workforce), and query volume may be available in publicly searchable areas, including the Internet, after the business registers with E-Verify. DHS explained that publicly posting this information is permissible pursuant to the E-Verify Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
