ICE Announces 2010 Removal and Enforcement Statistics

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director John Morton recently summarized ICE’s enforcement activities for the fiscal year. In addition to removing more than 392,000 foreign nationals, ICE announced that it has audited more than 3,200 employers, debarred 225 companies and individuals, and had imposed about $50 million in financial sanctions since January 2009. So far, ICE has carried our more audits and debarments than during the entire previous administration.
