H-1B Cap Count Update
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has reported that
as of October 15, 2010, 42,800 H-1B cap-subject petitions counting
against the 65,000 quota and 15,700 counting against the 20,000 advanced
degree exemption have been receipted.
While the H-1B cap continues to appear to be proceeding at a steady
pace, it is impossible to predict when the cap will be reached.
Accordingly, GT continues to recommend that potential H-1B cap cases be
filed immediately.

USCIS website.
