H-1B Cap Count Update
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has reported that
as of October 22, 2010, 44,300 H-1B cap-subject petitions, counting
against the 65,000 quota, and 16,200 counting against the 20,000
advanced degree exemption, have been receipted.
While the filing of H-1B cap cases appears to be proceeding at a
steady pace, it is impossible to predict when the cap will be reached.
Accordingly, Greenberg Traurig recommends that potential H-1B cap cases
be filed as soon as possible.
