H-1B Cap Count Update

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has reported that as of November 5, 2010, 46,800 H-1B cap-subject petitions, counting against the 65,000 quota, and 17,200 counting against the 20,000 advanced degree exemption, have been receipted.

Although this is a moderate increase since GT last reported, the steady pace continues. GT recommends that potential H-1B cap cases be filed as soon as possible period to ensure that H-1B employment needs are met.

For more information on the FY 2011 H-1B cap season, please visit the USCIS website.
