ICE Announces Creation of Employment Compliance Inspection Center

On January 20, 2011, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director John Morton announced the creation of an Employment Compliance Inspection Center (ECIC) in Crystal City, Virginia. The ECIC will house 15 inspectors who will assist ICE field offices around the country with Form I-9 inspection audits. Since October 2008, ICE has initiated Form I-9 audits against almost 3,800 businesses.
