FY2012 H-1B Cap Count

As of April 29, USCIS has received 9,200 H-1B Regular Cap petitions and 6,600 H-1B Master's Exemption petitions.  The annual limit on the H-1B Regular Cap category is 65,000 and the annual limit for the H-1B Master's Exemption category is 20,000.  Although it appears that H-1B numbers are slowly being taken, we highly recommend that companies submit their H-1B petitions as soon as possible to ensure receipt of an H-1B number before the cap is met for fiscal year 2012.
