U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security meets with Central American and Mexican Officials

Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano joined National Protection and Programs Directorate (NPPD) Under Secretary Rand Beers, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Commissioner Alan Bersin, and other senior Obama administration officials to meet with officials from Central America and Mexico in an effort to strengthen international cooperation on aviation security, increased information sharing, and border security.  Secretary Napolitano also highlighted the Department of Homeland Security's ongoing efforts to combat human trafficking and the smuggling of illicit goods throughout the region.
