USCIS Introduces New EAD, Designed to Deter Fraud

On October 25, 2011, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) began issuing enhanced Employment Authorization Documents (EADs) with new anti-fraud features.  USCIS says the technology incorporated into the EADs will deter counterfeiting, obstruct tampering, and will facilitate authentication. All previously issued EADs will remain valid until the expiration date on the card. USCIS also announced redesigned Certificates of Citizenship, which will be issued starting October 30, 2011.
