PERM Statistics for Q1 FY2012

On January 3, 2012, the Department of Labor’s (DOL's) Office of Foreign Labor Certification (OFLC) released statistics for the Permanent Labor Certification Program during first quarter of Fiscal Year 2012 (October 2011 – December 2011).

During this time, 13,200 total applications were filed and 12,400 applications were processed by the DOL.  Among the 12,400 processed, 9,500 applications were certified, 2,400 were denied and 500 were withdrawn.  As of January 3, 2012, DOL is reviewing cases filed in October 2011 and there are total of 20,900 cases currently pending with the DOL.
